The Journey of a Lifetime Day Two: July 2

FIREWORKS : Day Two

FINALLY !!! We arrived in Korea at about 5 something in the evening . We were greeted by Jered and Jon  which wasn't hard to pick out because there aren't to many of us over here anyways. First thing is first .. RESTROOM .. Absolutely love their restrooms. Its like having your own private lavatory. There is plenty of space to maneuver and most importantly no one can look under your stall or hear what your doing  (for those who like to poop in public lol ).

So the first cultural difference I noticed is there aren't any real lines for anything , and people tend to bump into you , shove,or push you during any type of walking on the streets, bus, subway, stores, clubs, cafes, museums, bathrooms EVERY and ANYWHERE..And all this happens without using the simple words we learned when we were 2 and 3 years old " excuse me". I had a standoff with a lady in the customs line . She thought she was going to walk right in front of me in line but I showed her. Shoot you better back up winch . This might be hard to get used to . WELCOME TO KOREA !!

Next on the agenda was to get our T-money cards so we could have access to the public transportation. Our T money card would be one of the essentials on this trip.

Off to throw our bags in the motel and hit the streets of Seoul . The motel we stayed at for the first two nights we called Capetown Motel ..The motel came equip with two pairs of slippers for the shower ,two robes, toiletries which included : shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, comb, brush, toothbrush ,mouthwash, and cottonballs (Did I mention that all this stuff was already previously used ) LOL....WTH.... Why in the world would I want to use hand soap , and slippers that some random person might have used. I mean that was a nice thought . Thanx but NO THANX . Ill use my own products and shower shoes. After having a good laugh with that one we headed out to the streets..

Seoul .. 2 nights and 1 day stay

Look at the lovely decor

This was our first night here and we did a variety of different things. There were bright lights everywhere and veryyyyy tall buildings. I swear each building probably had about 6 to 8 floors filled with stores ,cafes, and other random establishments. All you see walking around are young couples holding handing and making goo-goo eyes. I feel like everyone was Boo'd up. I must say it really made me miss mine even more :) !!

Ok so by this time its probably like 9 or so and we are HUNGRY ..We hooked up with Jons girlfriend ( Tasha) and hunted down a place to eat. So you know what we had to try out first Bimbimbap. My parents talked about this dish like it was the best thing in this whole wide world. When they got back from Korea  this was all they would talk about . So this dish had ALOT of hype attached to it. So you know I was excited to see just what the hype was all about. Jon took us to this spot to try this INFAMOUS dish... and the verdict was it was good. Not exactly what I was expecting from what I heard and the pictures I saw. The dish was actually seasoned with BLAND again. I had to Doctor it up. So once I put in the pickled radishes, kimchi  (yes I ate kimchi) and red sauce it was good to go . I also had Kimbop which to me is Korean sushi haha and that was good. This meal I would rate as a 6. But Hey that's just me . I bet If you asked my girl KP she would rate it lower LOL..So I think I was fairly generous in my numbers.

After dinner we did a little walking around downtown . Went to a little river walk where lovers dwell and hang out. It was a cute little place to have a romantic date and glare into the nights stars. Of course the only person who had a Boo was Jon. So I had to make do with the ladies.. We had a good time regardless. By that time it was time to hop on the subway and head back. The subway line closes at 12. and apparently its extremely hard to hail a taxi after those hours. We were fighting to stay awake on the subway . I lost the battle and so did sleeping beauty.

Whelp that pretty much wraps up Day Two. Had a standoff with an Asian lady at the airport, ate authentic cuisine , sight-saw ,and went to bed. Until next time . Live.Laugh. Love
